1938-53 ½d black & violet, SG 38, complete sheet of sixty containing Row 1/1 "spot in sky", Row 2/2 major re-entry to right frame (Murray Payne 1a), Row 2/3 long centre bar to "E" (SG 38a), Row 3/2 black mark by 7 o'clock in medallion, Row 8/3 "buoy" & Row 10/3 "wart on nose" varieties. fine unmounted mint, some habitual gum bends. Folds through margins, marginal imperfections (including pen manuscript denoting perf) & one paper hinge reinforcement in top selvedge but a scarce survivor & superb study piece.
